Rod has worked in the field of construction since 1978. His initial association with Cooper Kessel was in 1979 when he moved to the foothills to learn more about Solar home construction. Thoughout the years, Rod has worked in all phases of construction, from residential remodels to high-end luxury restaurants such as Spagos in Beverly Hills.
Rod's extensive experience in cosntruction enables him to effectively estimate all aspects of construction. In addition to being responsible for all the construction cost estimating for AED Construction, Rod is also responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company. This includes project scheduling, materials research and procurement, coordination of manpower, and maintaining a watchful eye on construction costs to ensure the projects are produced on time and within budget.
Rod becomes involved in our Design-Build process at the end of the Preliminary Design Phase, at which time he provides Preliminary Construction Cost estimates to the Architect and Owner.
